The Relief Project is our effort to assist families dealing with pediatric cancer. This ministry was birthed by the Lord in the hearts of Tony and Jessica Gilbert as their son, Alden, was diagnosed with cancer. Jessica writes,
"Our son was diagnosed with a pediatric cancer called neuroblastoma when he was 2 months old. We spent the next year and a half in and out of the hospital for treatment. The list of obstacles that come with a diagnosis like this is endless, but one that is heavy on our hearts is providing food for patients and their families. While food is provided for the children by the hospital, parents and caregivers do not have access to food unless they are able to leave and purchase it on their own. During past meal deliveries, I was so blessed to see a small amount of relief on the family's faces. This is the goal of our ministry, Relief Project."
Through the Relief Project we seek to provide food, prayer, and other forms of support to families battling pediatric cancer.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
